Restore factory defaults of Velop Resetting your velop system and re-configuring it again is very disruptive. A factory reset restores your Velop system to the state it was when you took it out of its box, requiring you to go through the setup process again. All settings you have customized in setup and since things such as Wi-Fi name, passwords, security type will be erased. Once you Reset linksys Velop system all wireless devices will disconnect from your Wi-Fi. To reset Velop:
With your node connected to power and turned on, press and hold the Reset button on the bottom. The light on top of the node will turn red and fade in pulses. Do not release the button until the light goes out and then turns bright red. Red light means process for Reset linksys velop system successful. How to powercycle the router This is the most common solution for most of the problems related to your routers. It hardly requires 30 seconds of your time. What you need to do is unplug the router for around 30 seconds and you call also remove other cables too like ethernet chord and Internet chord.
Assign a static IP Address to your computer Since DHCP is not working on the router you will have to assign a static IP address to your connected computer.
Reset the router You need to press and hold the factory reset button on your router for around 30 seconds. Depending upon the model number of Linksys router you have can find the reset hole either in the back or at the bottom. After this unplug the router for 10 seconds and plug it back in.

Setting up the Linksys RE6800 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender to Range Extender mode
Linksys RE6800 can be Setup using Setup Wizard, Wps, or Manual. We will setup this extender through setup wizard in this article. First of all make sure you have configured router, it’s SSID and it’s password.
Plug in your linksys re6800 extender close to your router into a power outlet.
Once the light turns to solid amber that means that the extender is ready for Setup.
Now grab any of your WiFi device like computer or cell phone and turn on WiFi on it.
In your WiFi list you need to connect your device to linksys default name i.e. Linksys Extender Setup-XXX (where XXX represents the last three digits of your range extender’s MAC address.
IMP:- You can find the MAC address of your device on the back of your extender.
Open a browser like (Google, firefox, Safari, Etc) and in the Address bar or URL type http://ap.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1 or extender.linksys.com.
NOTE:- In case http://ap.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1 doesn’t work try resetting the extender.
It will direct you to linksys Extender Setup page, tick the box which says “I accept the end user license agreement.
In order to protect your extender it will ask you to create a administration password.
Next it will ask you “how you would like to Setup your range extender as Access point or as a extender”.
After this it will scan all the available networks in your area, you need to select your main WiFi Network among them and type the password.
The Setup page will then show you how your Extender will show up in your WiFi list.
Around 60 seconds is what it takes for extender to get connected to your router.

SETUP LINKSYS ACCESS POINT AC1200
Firstly, Once you Plug-in the Linksys LAPAC1200C Access Point to the power the light turns blue. After that it starts blinking green.
You need to plug-in the Ethernet chord from your network into this Linksys LAPAC1200C Access Point.
Now open a web browser on a computer connected to your network. Now you need to type in the IP address of your access point. DHCP server will assign IP address automatically. If there is no DHCP server on your network, the default IP address is 192.168.1.252 / 255.255.255.0.
In case you can not connect computer to Access Point Wirelessly then use Ethernet cable to connect access point to computer for Setup.
NOTE:- Type “admin” for both username and password.
Click on quick start option from the main tab.
Hit launch on the main screen.
You can now set the password for your device.
For device system settings you will need to update the time zone, In addition to date and time.
Next you will have to select IPv4 settings (static or dynamic).
On wireless network screen you need to set the SSID. The wireless Access point support up-to 8 SSID’s.
Moreover, Wireless security option will help you to setup security for your network you created.
Last option is summary which shows you the settings you have opted, hit submit if you don’t want to make further changes.
Lastly, push finish to complete the setup of Linksys Access point.
NOTE:- How to Reset Linksys AC1200 Acess Point- You need to press and hold this button for less than 15 seconds to power cycle device. Press and hold for longer than 15 seconds to subsequently reset the device to factory default settings.

Firts of all Connect the power cable.
Plug in the range extender midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi.
Once a solid light appears on the range extender cover, connect to the Wi-Fi network “Linksys Extender Setup.”
Sometimes, we need to make some changes on the router, for that, we need to login into the router first and obviously need to know Linksys router default password. So in case, we don’t have username and password, resetting the router is the only option left. We can Reset the router by pressing the factory reset with the help of paper clip for around 10 seconds. While you reset the router you will the power light blinking. Once you Reset your Linksys Router default password, Its default Login username and password will also change. The default Password of Linksys Router is “admin” and leave the Username field “blank”. You just need to unplug and re-plug the router back, once you reset it.
How to reset router using webpage:-
Open your Router page by typing the default IP address of your Linksys Router i.e. 192.168.1.1 in the browser.
Hit on Administration tab after that click on the Factory Defaults sub-tab.
Under the Factory Defaults section, click on the Restore Factory Defaults button.
Once the router is resetted we just need to reconfigure it back again according to your Internet service type.
How to Change the Linksys router password?
Login into the router with password “admin” and leave the username field blank.
Access routers webpage by typing the default IP address into the browser.
Default IP address of Linksys Router is 192.168.1.1
Hit Administration tab on Linksys webpage.
Under the Management section, you need to enter new password in the Linksys Router Password and Re-Enter to Confirm fields.
NOTE:- You can use Alphabets and Numbers for making your own password.
Click Save Settings.
IMP: From now on whenever you want to login into the router you need to type in new Username and Password.
NOTE:- The Router’s Username and Password is different then wireless networks SSID and wireless router password.
In case you still are not able to change the Linksys routers default password you should update the firmware of the router. After performing the Linksys Router upgrade, go ahead and reset your router and re-configure it back again.
